Today’s MH Market Spotlight Report –

We’ll let the CBNC provided quotes below speak for themselves.  But we’ll sum up why some cool headed experts think that the U.S. does hold the cards.  And their markets slid more than the U.S. markets did.  That’s a clue, to the following.

Because they buy less American products than we do from China, they can’t continue to match our tariffs. There are other moves they could make, but at the end of the day, the president is correct.  We hold the cards. Other experts we’ve spotlighted have said the same.

Per CNBC:

•    Several experienced market veterans predict the U.S. and China will eventually reach a satisfactory trade deal after some short-term saber rattling.

•    Warren Buffett, Lloyd Blankfein and Paul Tudor Jones all agree the blustery trade rhetoric between the nations is just a part of the negotiations.

•    Trade tensions with China rose to new highs Monday when President Donald Trump instructed the U.S. trade representative to identify $200 billion worth of Chinese goods for additional tariffs at a rate of 10 percent.
