Asking a Congressman or Senator about Manufactured Housing

As you know, this is a factory built housing trade publication.  We are pro-industry, which means we are for you and enterprises such as yours.  We want your input, public or private, on the following:

what are the questions or topics you related to manufactured housing that you would like to see addressed to U.S. Congressional Representatives and Senators?  You may Post your suggestions publicly, or email them to me privately, at tony@MHMSM.com.

The reason for the question is this.  In the wake of the recently published interview we did with the Honorable Congressman Walter Jones, R-NC, it seems that opportunities for MHMSM.com to do interviews with a growing number of members of the U.S. House and Senate are growing. If you didn’t catch the interview yet with Representative Jones, you may want to do so now.  Congressman Jones has not only signed on to co-sponsor an important piece of manufactured housing related legislation, but he has also taken and made some positive pro-manufactured housing steps.

I want to thank all of those who have posted, called or emailed in favorable comments on the Representative Walter Jones interview.  We don’t always bat 100% with our readers (who does?), but so far, all of the comments have been positive and encouraging.  As someone who has done manufactured home marketing and sales for years, let me suggest that this is just the sort of news article I would print and save to use with certain types of prospects or public relations out-reach efforts.  It is one thing for us to say we have great quality homes that are affordable, but it is so nice when an elected official makes positive statements in an interview on this subject!  Please make sure your staff and associates read this interview!

So on this rainy Chicago morning, I will keep this message short and sweet.  What would you like to ask a member of the U.S House or Senate?  What issues or problems do you want to see the Congress address relative to regulations, laws or other issues facing the prefab, manufactured or modular home industry? # #
