Manufactured Housing Face Lift and the News

As our faithful readers know, we are all about improvement for the Manufactured Housing Industry. For about six months, we have been discussing internally at Manufactured Home Marketing Sales Management (MHMSM.com) what would be a new and improved site for our readers. How can we improve navigation? What new look and feel would work best? What features, services and information would you like to see? What would support businesses, associations and professionals the most? Don’t get me wrong! We are thrilled that over 48,000 of you logged on in April! You voted with your browsers when you made 266,000 page views, thank you! Nearly a million ‘hits’ were logged for the month.

But we also know and hear from you and others that it is time for an update.

It is Face Lift time for Manufactured Housing news and views!

Your input on what the new site might look like is appreciated. You can email me at Tony@MHMSM.com or you can post a public comment.

Here are some examples of what the new site might look like and navigate like:

There is always plenty of news to cover in the manufactured and modular home Daily Business News Blog. There are plenty of practical tips in our monthly feature articles or our blogs.

How would YOU like to see this site enhanced for your use?

Thank you in advance for your thoughtful comments. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and to all of your mothers, too. # #

I like all three. I like the first example best.

I think number two fits your style but I’ll recommend number three because the two column style will serve you better.

    Tony,

I like the flow of number 3. It also has a very clean look.

I felt number 1 and number 2 felt a little too jumbled for my personal taste.

Thank you for all you do for the industry. I can’t wait to see the new site!

Growth brings change and the time is right. Good for you to recognize, engage and lead, Tony. I have two opinions on the site’s revisions: 1. MHMSM.com is no longer a URL that matches the site’s content – it’s news and opinion on a range of current issues in the MH production-distribubution-placement chain. I would find it easier in conversation with people I’m referring to the site were it “MHnews.com” or something clearer, broader and more memorable; and, 2. Fight clutter. Good luck. Paul Bradley

Lady and Gents, thanks so much for your input! We appreciate the opportunity to serve the Industry, and your comments and those of others matters to our team and myself personally.

We have been getting steady comments by phone and email too.

Paul, your point is important. We already have http://www.MHProNews.com as a url that works right this second. The question is in part timing, when we do the new template, or later? We will keep the current URL as it is high on Google’s SEO radar.

    More comments welcome!

    Tony
